What To Expect

During the inspection of the home we will look at the various systems that compose the structure. Such examples are listed below:

  • Framing (structure)
  • Roof and attic
  • Foundation
  • Walls
  • Electrical system
  • Plumbing system
  • Heating and air conditioning systems
  • Balconies and Decks
  • Fireplaces/Chimneys
  • Kitchen
  • Bathroom(s)
  • Crawl space
  • Windows and doors
  • Laundry
  • Garage
  • Drainage and more

Additional items and systems unique to a particular home can also be inspected. We strongly encourage you to attend the home inspection and are happy to address whatever questions you have about the property. The actual home inspection will conclude with a walkthrough that includes a detailed discussion of findings and review of photographic images of items which will be included in your home inspection report.

When the inspection is complete, you will receive a full written report of the inspection. The report will include any problems that were discovered and any routine maintenance that should be performed. We'll tell you about any problems we find, and make repair recommendations. The report will also include photo documentation that will help to understand the content. Let us help remove some of the anxiety from the home purchase process so that you can proceed with confidence, knowing that you have made an informed decision on your family's largest investment.
